COVID-19 Update – Open for emergency appointments

TO ALL OUR VALUED PATIENTS:

As we have now entered the Level 3 COVID-19 restrictions, we would like to let you know that as
from 9 am on Tuesday the 28th of April, our dental practice will be open for emergency
appointments only.

If you believe you require emergency dental treatment, please phone us on (09) 8322998 or
0211199372.

Our friendly receptionists will ask you specific questions to assess your condition to
determine if we can safely treat you.

We are not able to see walk-in patients and all appointments must be booked on the phone before visiting us.

We are working under very strict guidance from the New Zealand Dental Council and Ministry of Health to ensure the safety of all our patients and staff.

The definition of a dental emergency is if you are experiencing pain, inflammation, infection, bleeding, broken tooth, or have sustained an injury, adjustment or repair of dental appliances where patient health is significantly impacted.

Your Health is Our Priority

Your health and safety are our main priority and we want you to feel assured that when you come
into our clinic you will not be exposed to the Coronavirus or any other communicable illnesses.

In addition to our current and standard infection control practices, our team will be implementing
the following additional measures and screening procedures for both patients and the team
members, to ensure your health and safety.

In our clinic the procedures will be as follow:

  1. All patients will be thoroughly screened by phone before their reserved appointment. The current protocol is to screen patients by questions regarding contact and exposure to Covid-19.

  2.  Upon arrival, we ask patients to call the clinic and stay in the car until further notice.

  3. We will advise you when we are ready to see you and one of our team will greet you at our front door.
Please only bring essential items with you.  You will be given a hand sanitiser and you will be
asked to do the hand rub before entering the clinic. Please do not touch anything afterwards.

  4. As both team members and patient arrive at the clinic, you will notice our convenient health
assessment area designed to ensure health and wellness by confirming health assessment
questions and recording your current temperature.

  5. All patients will be required to sign the consent that they are aware about our clinic procedures.

  6. Our team will regularly complete a “disinfectant sweep” by wiping all door handles and desk areas
    with sanitizing wipes.

  7. As much as we enjoy spending time with our patients during their dental visit, we ask that
you respect social distancing requirements by avoiding contact with others such as hand-shaking,
hugging, touching or sharing non-treatment related items.

  8. We are committed to maintaining infection control according to Ministry Of Health and NZ Dental Council guidelines within our practice and will ensure all team members are equipped with the PPE required to protect both our patients and our team.

There will be an additional $80 charge if full PPE was used during the treatment.
As part of our dental family, we value our commitment to deliver quality lifetime dentistry.

Thank you for your continued patience as we strive to serve and support you in the most excellent way.
